Mother, Wife, County Clerk/Auditor
I grew up in Provo, the youngest of 5 children, to a mother who reared us to always strive to make a positive impact on the world around us. I attended Timpview High School with an interest in leadership and community involvement. I attended Weber State University on full scholarship, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology with University Honors, graduating summa cum laude. I accepted a position at Caterpillar, Inc. at their corporate headquarters, shortly after graduation.
Utah has no equal. As an international manager for Caterpillar, Inc., I traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada; from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and from the northern tundra of Alberta to the Sonora Desert of Arizona. Living in three different states and one Canadian Province as an adult, I chose to return to Utah to raise my family, because Utah has no equal anywhere on the continent.
Returning to Utah, I started the consulting company, Uprise Solutions, which specializes in business operations, effective growth, and productivity. While consulting with businesses to improve efficiency and productivity, I also began a Masters in Business Ownership.
My two boys, Clark and Liam, spent most of their childhood on a farm in southern Utah County, on West Mountain (West of Payson), where our primary produce crop was cherries, and we raised a herd of big horned hair sheep. In the summer of 2017 I sold the farm and moved my family to Pleasant Grove, where we enjoy living closer to schools, friends, and family. In August of 2018 I married Tobin Gardner, together we have a total of 5 children with one on the way due July 1, 2019.
My hobbies are playing with my two boys, camping in the Utah wilderness, community involvement, and being with friends and family. I enjoy improving processes (at home and at work), and I proudly call myself a nerd.
